i3N PhD Student Distinguished at the "Shaping the Future of Bio-inspired Photonics" Conference

Duarte Oliveira, a PhD Student from i3N, has been distinguished with the best poster award during the conference “Shaping the Future of Bio-inspired Photonics”, held on February 11th at the Ágora Room, NOVA FCT. The event was organized by the Management Committee of the COST Action PhoBioS (CA21159).

The recognized work, which explores the interaction between light and biological surfaces for the development of new electronic materials and devices, was authored by Duarte B. Oliveira, Leonor Paim, Valéria Shevchuk, Pedro Barquinha, Andreia Araújo, Emanuel Carlos, and Marta C. Corvo.

This award highlights the ongoing contributions of i3N researchers to the COST Action PhoBioS framework, a global network dedicated to understanding biological structures as a template for technological innovation.
