Maria Morais, i3N PhD student, received the Best Poster Award at the Symposium S – Electronic, Photonic, Nano, Low-dimensional and Quantum Materials during the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) 2025 Fall Meeting, held in Warsaw, Poland, from 15 to 18 September 2025.

On September 5, 2025, i3N-NOVA (Caparica campus) had the honor of hosting a high-level delegation from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), in a landmark event reinforcing the strong ties between European and Chinese scientific communities.

Differentiating traditional porcelain was the motto for the PorCoating project, which aims to develop functional and decorative coatings for porcelain, improving its mechanical resistance and adding new functionalities. The partnership involves researchers from Universidade de Aveiro (UAveiro).

The CleanMouldPLUS co-promotion project is being developed by a consortium made up of Universidade de Aveiro (UAveiro), the Pedro Nunes Institute (IPN) and the company Microplásticos, which is leading the project. The main objective of the project is to develop sustainable, efficient technological solutions in line with the principles of Industry 4.0, applicable to the industrial mold maintenance sector.

At the International Conference on Advanced Materials, Emanuel Carlos, researcher at CENIMAT | i3N, has been honored with the Early Career Researcher Medal, a prestigious recognition awarded by the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM).
